Hey STEM fans! In this installment in our problem solving series Aaron tackles one of the trickiest problems thrown at pre-calc and college algebra students. Solving this type of problem includes 3 simple steps:
1) Identify the necessary substitution
2) Make the substitution & solve (usually with a quadratic evaluation)
3) Undo the substitution to solve for the original variable of interest
